Candle Care
Our candles are crafted with care to bring quiet luxury and calm to your space. To preserve their beauty and ensure a clean, even burn, please follow these simple care instructions.
Before You Light
Trim the Wick: Always trim the wick to ¼ inch (6mm) before lighting. This promotes a clean, even flame and prevents soot. Whilst all of our candle vessels use premium double wick, there will be times where you will need to trim
The First Burn: Allow the wax to melt across the entire surface before extinguishing. This helps your candle burn evenly every time.
Clean Surface: Make sure the wax is free of dust or debris before lighting.
Whilst Burning
Burn Time: Enjoy your candle for no more than 4 hours at a time.
Stay Present: Never leave a burning candle unattended or near drafts, fabrics, or pets.
Stable Surface: Place on a heat-resistant, level surface.
After You Burn
Extinguish Gently: Use a snuffer or blow softly to put out the flame. Avoid splashing wax.
Recentre the Wick: While the wax is warm, reposition the wick to the centre.
Reuse with Intention: Stop burning when ½ inch (1 cm) of wax remains. Clean and repurpose your vessel for modern, mindful living.
Candle Etiquette
Store candles in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight.
Natural wax may develop a soft frost - this is a sign of purity and craftsmanship.
Safety
Always follow standard candle safety practices. Your safety and your peace of mind come first.
🌿 Refined. Conscious. Timeless.
Caring for Your CENW Home Jesmonite Piece
Your jesmonite piece is handcrafted and unique - no two are exactly alike. With a little care, it will remain a beautiful part of your home for years to come.
Keep it dry . Jesmonite is not waterproof. Avoid prolonged exposure to water or moisture. Do not submerge or soak.
Clean gently. Wipe with a soft, slightly damp cloth. Avoid harsh chemicals, abrasive cleaners or scouring pads.
Handle with care. Although durable, jesmonite can chip if dropped. Treat it as you would any treasured ceramic piece.
Avoid direct sunlight. Prolonged exposure to direct sunlight may cause slight colour fading over time.
Not dishwasher safe. Always hand wipe only.
Candle holders . If using as a candle holder, always place a protective disc or felt pad underneath to protect the surface from heat.
Each piece is handmade in small batches, meaning slight variations in colour, texture and finish are completely natural - and part of what makes yours one of a kind.
